Cranford 02

Dame Eileen Atkins received tonight the Best Actress Bafta for her outstanding performance as Miss Deborah in the successful BBC series – Cranford. We couldn’t agree more! Even if Judi Dench (the favorite in the category) did a marvellous job playing the gentle and naïve Miss Matty, Atkins softened our hearts with her uptight Miss Deborah, who despite her strict moral rules, was always there to help anyone in need. A much deserved award, without any doubts.
