Brideshead Revisited, based in the classic novel by Evelyn Waugh, is often considered a British TV masterpiece. The incredible cast – Jeremy Irons, Laurence Olivier, Anthony Andrews, Diana Quick, John Gielgud, Simon Jones, among others, - provided us with eleven episodes of pure wonder who never faded with the passage of time.
Twenty-six years later, a new version will be released for the cinema later this year (dates). The screenplay is written by Jeremy Brock and Andrew Davies (BBC Pride & Prejudice, BBC Sense & Sensibility) and the cast will also shine with the presence of the wonderfully talented Emma Thompson, Mathew Goode, Anna Madeley, Felicity Jones, Michael Gambon, … Let’s hope this one will be as good as the previous version!

I just saw the trailer for the new version on TV last night- I think I’m gonna have to see this movie when it comes out!
