Colin Firth still has it doesn’t he! And Ben Barnes is pretty nice to look at too!
It will be interesting to see this movie for sure!
Absolutely, Marg! ;-) Colin looks good in that picture (well, he also looks very yummi in Mamma Mia!) and I’m hoping he will do a great job as Lord Henry Wooton.
Gosh, what an awesome blog you’ve got! I love historic movies XD
Love the book, Oscar Wilde is a genius.
I can’t wait to see this! Firth AND Prince Caspian? Oh yeah. Can’t wait!
eek! favorite book ever, have been trying to get some kind of trailer on it for aaaages, i can’t wait…roll on September! also Colin Firth, nobody better for the part of lord Henry and Ben Barnes as Dorian?! no words can describe my excitement.
i think thats Firth’s best look so far, i read the book and LOVED it! but the thing that peeves me is that Grey was specifically blond, arain-ish looking (probably spelt that wrong!) but Barns (who was very good in “the english marriage) is a distinct brunette, some of them can push the honey blond/brown line, he can’t! i hope they do the book justice, Wilde was not meant to be handled lightly!
Can anyone tell me what the release date is set for? I have looked all over & still can’t find anything. I’ve seen 2 trailers & that’s it! Very frustration! I’ve heard so many rumors, like they quit production, it was canceled, it was banned in the U.S., blah, blah, blah. Also, I was told by a very reliable source that Disney dropped the third Chronical’s of Narnia movie due to it being over budget, but that it has been picked up by Walden Media?
Rebekah,
Dorian Gray is going smoothly and there’s already a release date for the UK: 18th September 2009. You can see more details here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235124/
About Chronicles of Narnia, it’s true apparently now the production is in the hands of 20th Century Fox and Walden Media. You can read about it here: http://www.narniafans.com/archives/2790

Thank you so much for the links & info, Alex! It was very informative. Has anyone heard anything about Catherine Hardwick being let go from production at Summit? I can’t wait to see how badly their sequel to Twilight BOMBS because of this poor decision! She is such a talented director & one of the few female geniuses of producing. UGH!
I can’t believe that Ben Barnes and Colin Birth are going to be in the same film! Again! They were great in ‘Easy Virtue’, and to have them linked again, should be good. And very easy on the eyes.
Thanks for all the updates, ladies.
Btw, didn’t know that Dorian Gray was meant to be a blondie. In the old movie, with Angela Landsbury, he is a brunette as well. Or, at least, as far as you can tell…
