Period dramas were in evidence Sunday night as John Adams, a period drama about America’s second president won 13 Emmy Awards, Mad Men, about advertising executives in New York during the sixties got 6 Emmys and there was still an Emmy for Dame Eileen Atkins for Cranford.
We haven’t watched the first two shows and would welcome some opinions on wether we should or not look for it!
Here’s a list of the period drama winners:

I’ve only seen Mad Men and it IS a very good show. The atmosphere is redolent with the feel of the early 60’s ad agency world. They certainly got that right!

(Tho I haven’t seen the others-Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney are excellent actore. I’m sure their Emmy’s are well deserved!)
