Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, Inglorious Basterds, is one of the most expected movies this year. Slightly inspired by Enzo Castellari’s Inglorious Bastards, the movie is presented as a war movie/spaghetti western.
Set during the WWII in France, we follow two storylines: the adventures of a group of Jewish-American soldiers, known as The Basterds, who spread terror and fear among the Nazi forces; and the revenge of a French-Jewish girl over the German soldiers who murdered her family.
With a cast including Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent, Maggie Cheung among many others, we truly hope this might be a movie we’ll enjoy.

wow, I can’t wait to watch this! the cast looks awesome
This was the best movie I have watched this year (please note this for the period drama challenge, if it counts as a period drama.
Eli Roth was so intensly scary that I had his face as a desktop wallpaper for weeks. The best scene if you coul call it that was right at the beginning with the first interview. God, I’ve never wanted to gnaw my nails more. The tension was so unbelievably intense. How I hated that SS Col. Hans Landa…
It was intersting to see american stars interact with German every day actors as I would call them. Didn’t even mind Till Schweiger whom I usually can’t stand.
Christoph Wals alias Col. Hans Landa deserves every available award for his role, I think.
Did any Italian watch it in Italian? Wondering about that scene in the theater… with the names…. ;) very funny.
Ok, Best movie this year. Will be hard to top.
