G'Day (typical Australian - non period - greeting) Ana, Ana and Alex.

How charmed I am to be here in your other-worldly - diary. It is too kind of you to invite me.
Sadly I took a fall and our kind Doctor from Highbury has given instructiopns to Knightly that I - I must rest. Mr Knightly chided me regarding my failure to - to heed his warning and walk out when the ground was so wet. I must confess - oh I must - he looks so handsome when he is stern -:"badly done Emma" he frowned.

Later I was want to take a gentle turn about the garden but Mr Woodhouse - my own dear papa - insisted I would catch a chill and be swept away before e'en a sennight has passed. Thus I passed the days inside before the fire.
But what is a turn through the shrubbery when there are such friends to be met; for the new novel of Miss Jane Austen arrived at Fords.

My dearest- oh so dearest - Knightly was visiting Miss Bates - she is always so delighted to see him, speaking of the priveledge - honour in her humble whisper - when he happened upon Mrs Elton all a buzz with the news.
He thought only of my harsh restrictions and how my heart would sore. And thus it did, My Knightly is too too kind.

Ladies, if you will excuse me I must - I so very am obliged to you - the tea tray has arrived.

This is my first time to your website so I can't compare layouts, but this one is quite lovely either way! :)
I have many favourite period drama couples, notably Jane&Rochester, Jane&Bingley,Lizzy&Darcy, Catherine Moreland&Henry Tilney, Margaret&Thornton, Elinor&Edward...However, I'm going to be original and say that it's a tie between Molly & Roger from Wives and Daughters and Rose & Neil from I Capture the Castle :).

I love the new look! Simply beautiful!

I have to say my favorite couple would be Elizabeth & Mr. Darcy. I love them as individuals to start with--Lizzie with her witty, fun, and teasing spirit; Darcy for his loyal, faithful, and tender nature.

I love how they both allowed themselves to be changed and molded for the better by the other, though sometimes difficult to deal with or admit. They were alike in that they were stubborn, but different in that Lizzie spoke her mind quite easily, Darcy not so much. But when they both spoke their minds, beautiful sparks flew--pride was set to fire via a heart that became bewitched by fine eyes and refreshing vivacity; prejudice was slowly torn down by loyalty, kindness, and a deep and earnest love that was never trifled with. <3

My favorite couple is Henry Tilney and Catherine Moreland from Northanger Abbey. This is the first I've seen of your blog, but it looks wonderful! Going to participate in your movie challenge.

Lucy,
Welcome to our site! I loved Lilies and I was very sad when I learned BBC wasn't planning to do a 2nd season. I'm sure we'll have a review of the series very soon.;-)

I have to vote for Iris Moss and Father Melia from Lilies, because it's such an overlooked series. Please review it on the blog!!!

I only found this site a few days ago, but I'm already obsessed... so many period dramas, so little time.

Well, like Fantasma I can’t decide between Margaret Hale and Mr. Thornton or Jane Eyre and Rochester (and can't also forget Heathcliff and Cathy or Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy...)
Oh boy, is very difficult to decide but I will vote for Hale and Thornton.
Way to go, girls! The new look/bloog is beautiful. Really gorgeous. Keep on! I will be around.
PS- Thank you for the giveaway.

I was going to say, without question, Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy (with Colin Firth) but I had forgotten for a moment about John Thornton and Margaret Hale and truly moving their love story is. The final scene where she takes his hand had so much depth of emotion, I kept watching it over and over. North and South may equal or even trump Pride and Prejudice as far as couples are concerned.
