Despite the crisis that has been axing some of the projects we have been eagerly anticipating there are still motives to rejoice as is the case with Desperate Romantics, a six part drama about the men behind the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Art lovers will find this drama about about the art and lives of the three artists compelling and we’re looking forward to see if it’s as good as it seems. Besides is includes in its cast an actor we’ve seen before in Pride and Prejudice and Wives and Daughters and we’re glad to see him in something else – Tom Hollander.

I love pre-Raphaelite art. I stumbled across this movement after reading Possession and just fell in love with it.
If you like Tom Hollander, you should see him in Cambridge Spies. He was very good in it.
Just started visiting your site, and I love it. This movie looks terrific–I’ve been wanting to learn more about these PreR guys for years! BTW, my favorite Tom Hollander role is Osborne Hamley in Wives and Daughters.
I have watched Wives and Daughters but not Cambridge Spies. I’ll go investigate…
And I have Possession in the TBR pile. I sure wish I had more time too! ;-)
Any idea when this series will be available on DVD for region 1 viewers?
I was wondering the same thing! I love this show! I was wondering when the 1 DVD region would be avalable as well!
