Another series announced by the BBC, Land Girls is a new period drama about WWII which follows the lives of four women whose lives are altered by the conflict as they take an active part in the war effort. The drama was commissioned by BBC One Daytime in what seems to be their first commission of a period drama. The cast includes Nathaniel Parker (Bleak House) and Jo Woodcock (Tess of The Ubervilles, Dorian Gray) among others and will reach the british TV screens in the next few weeks.

After seeing two episodes of this programme I think it’s absolutely brilliant, but I really can’t understand why they’ve put it on TV at 5:15pm… a lot of people aren’t even home from work by then.
Where do I get the DVD? Amazon or BBC?
