Loved THE HOUSE OF ELIOTT, but where is the final series? Series 3 left too many unsettled things. We were so disappointed. If there going to be a final series? Sure hope so !!!

Better late than never…
I second (at least) all of the above mentioned suggestions! Great series and movies!
And I’d especially like to to a discussion of “Rome”, “Gosford ‘Park”, “Brideshead Revisited” or also “Far From the Madding Crowd”.

And then of course the “Emily of New Moon” series I already mentioned, but I don’t know how widely known that one is. (Or another possibility to do something by my beloved Lucy Maud Montgomery would be the “Anne of Green Gables” series.)

And of course the new Emma! (But I have to get hold of the DVDs first…)

Anna, Band of Brothers is one of my favorite WWII series (Damian Lewis *sigh*) but I’ve seen it a long time ago, just like you. I’ll have to watch it again one of these days.:)

Band of Brothers
That’s a miniseries that deeply troubled and touched me when I saw it more than 4 years ago. Ring a bell?

I Capture the Castle, based on Dodie Smith’s novel, might perhaps be of interest?

A lovely little movie with a cast consisting of Romola Garai, Marc Blucas, Rose Byrne, Henry Cavill, Bill Nighy and so on. ^^

Although it’s old and a bit dated, The First Churchills is an interesting mini-series. I love Pimpernel! Horatio Hornblower, War and Peace and Dr. Zhivago are also good.I will be watching The Man In the Iron Mask soon for the challenge. The various Musketeer movies might suit as well. Anna Karenina is another possibility.

Hi all,

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve only watched Gosford Park, Lady Hawke and the Agatha Christie’s mysteries so I’m writing down the others to add to the WL. I’m really curious about The Scarlet Pimpernel so that might be my next purchase. ;-)
