We’ve just heard of a new period drama set during the 1920s. Called Boardwalk Empire and produced by Martin Scorcese for HBO it will tell the story of Atlantic City from the early beginnings to the Casino city it became. It’s not a place we know much about so we figure it might be interesting. The cast includes Steve Buscemi and Kelly MacDonald (Gosford Park). So far only the pilot was filmed but productions continues and it will air sometime next year.

I’m looking forward to this. I mostly enjoy Scorsese’s works. Not sure if the rise and shine of Atlantic city is an interesting story, but hey… Gang’s of New York was kinda similar, right?
The casting is very promising as well!
