We were planning to answer everyone on the threads but we have had so many visitors these past few days that that has proved to be an impossible task. We’re very happy to see so many new people enjoying our blog and we are looking forward to chatting with all of you in the future. If you are as fond of period dramas as we are you are always amazed at how other people don’t seem to love them as much as we do. We are are always lending our favourites to friends, family and coworkers and eagerly waiting for their opinion on the series. Unfortunately we are yet to see anyone return our copies with a huge smile and saying I want more. We could think it a case of not choosing our vehicles well but really can anything be more appropriate to convert new viewers than Mr Thornton or Mr Darcy?? We think not and those are usually the most lended DVDs of our collection.

We are curious to know how you got converted? Did a friend lend you a nice historical movie or TV series? Did you catch some good looking gentleman with a funny cravat on TV? Was it a natural evolution from reading historical novels? And do you try to convert your friends? Do tell us how you became a fan of the genre and how you found us!

After our “Who would you cast as Mr. Darcy ?” we needed to do something similar for Elizabeth Bennet. Make your choice!

Since we found out who would be playing Mr. Darcy in Lost in Jane Austen, we have been wondering if we had the choice, who would we cast for the role. Finally, we decided to do a poll with several actors and see which are the favorites. Of course, you can also add your own answer (at the bottom in “Others” just write the name you want and click “Vote”) in case you would not chose any of the actors we proposed. Another poll will be posted tomorrow with the same question but about dear Miss Elizabeth Bennet.

Why do you like to watch Jane Austen’s screen adaptations? We are often asked why are we so excited with a new one if we know the story by heart… Since we have been a bit busy and we need some fun, we though to make a poll about the subject. ;-)
